NBA All-Star weekend

This weekend was NBA All-Star weekend! Like I mentioned in my last post, being a cheerleader for 4 years made me a huge basketball fan. So every year for the last 7 years i have been hooked to the All-Star game. There are many events that lead up to the actual main event, the dunk contest and the celebrity basketball game are the most popular. My favorite year of All-Star weekend was 2006 when 76ers player Andre Iguodala participated in the dunk contest. Not only was his dunk the best but he is from my hometown(Springfield, IL) and I know him personally, so i was really hooked!

My favorite part of this year was the celebrity basketball game. The teams consisted of celebs like Trey Songz, Romeo Miller, Justin Beiber, Nick Cannon, etc. I know the ladies went wild! I sat and watched my favorite celebs play and joke around on the court. I one day would like to attend an All-Star game and meet some of the players. So that leads me to ask… What was your favorite part of All-Star weekend? Was it the Dunk contest, or maybe the celebrity game or better yet the actual game? All i know is the All-Star game leads to the play offs and I am ready!

Superbowl 2011

So I’m sure everyone knew the super bowl was last Sunday, right? So I want to know who all watched it. Although I was a cheerleader for basketball and football for 4 years, I don’t really care too much for football. Rather the Steelers or the Packers won, was the least of my worries. I did not watch the game, however I did watch the commercials though! Every year I watch the Superbowl just for the commercials, they are so hilarious. Whether they are advertising some type of food product or some type of vehicle, they always find a way to add comedy.

This is my all time favorite commercial from the Superbowl this year. When this commercial came on I was in tears laughing. I think Doritos made a lot of money off advertising, I feel like every other commercial was a Doritos or a Pepsi commercial. Pepsi also had plenty of comical advertisings. So what I really want to know is whats your reason for tuning into the super bowl? Was it the commercials or was it the actual game?
